The annual Jane Austen Festival in Bath has grown into a massive event, drawing Austen aficionados from all over the world. (Jane herself wasn’t a big fan of Bath, by the way.) The year I took these photos, I was getting into instant photography, so decide to do something different and use a Fujifilm Instax 200 instant camera. These are scans of the actual prints. I asked people from the festival parade to pose on the lawn of the Royal Crescent. I was very impressed by the effort people put into their costumes. I even met one group that had followed Georgian recipes to prepare a picnic.
