These were taken over two days across Krakow, one of the best cities for street photography I’ve been to. The Kamierz district was particularly fascinating: a mixture of history and grunge. I was surprised to find many of the beautiful old buildings almost completely covered in graffitti. It was mid summer, so pretty hot and bright. I processed the images to simulate Fuji Fortia film and bring out the colour. I have been to Krakow several times, the first not long after the fall of the Berlin Wall. I remember it from then as grey and cold. Today it’s very much the modern capitalist tourist city.
